KNIGHTS LOSE FIRST LEAGUE GAME

After going 8-0 during January, Kings' 7A Boys lost a tough 34-33 league battle to Little Miami yesterday. The Knights had a six-point lead going into the final quarter, but couldn't hang on against a scrappy Panthers' team. The boys look to win the league on the road Wednesday at Walnut Hills.

CONTINUING THE STREAK

Kings' 7th Grade Boys remained undefeated in the FAVC Cardinal with a 45-20 victory over Wilmington yesterday. Rebounding and strong defense led to many fast break opportunities. The boys hope to win out with just two games remaining next week. Slideshow

KINGS LEAD LEAUGE

Feb. 1, 2007
With a 36-27 victory over second place Nagel-Silver, the Knights increased their league lead to two games with three to play. Kings jumped out to an 11 point lead and held a double-digit advantage until late in the game. The boys can improve to 8-0 in the FAVC Cardinal with a win against Wilmington tomorrow.

7A BOYS 6-0 IN LEAGUE

Coach Poggi's team is on a roll with their 6th win in a row! With a relentless man-to-man defense, the Knights shut down Amelia 50-9 to move to 6-0 in league action.  Taking a page out of the Varsity handbook, this team is well balanced with different players stepping up every game.  The Knights have a big game next week against 5-1 Nagel Silver.

KNIGHT OVER WALNUT HILLS

The Knights Boys 7th grade team gave Coach Poggi a hard earned 54 to 45 victory against a tough Walnut Hills squad on Monday 1/22. The boys played swarming defense and forced many turnovers which led to many offensive points. The Knights take their undefeated FAVC record to Amelia as they face off with the Junior Barons on Wednesday 1/24. Good luck boys and keep working hard.

KNIGHTS TRUMP WILMINGTON

The Kings Boys 7th grade basketball team improved their FAVC record to 3-0 and 4-3 overall with an impressive 42-11 victory over Wilmington on Wednesday. Strong offensive performances from Max Demumbrum and Stephen Ayers and a stifling team defense were keys to the victory.The Knights led only 14 to 10 at halftime but really turned up the heat defensively and allowed Wilmington to score just 1 point in the second half. Look for Coach Poggi to have the boys playing their best when they travel to Little Miami on Wednesday 1/17. Good luck boys and keep up the good work.

KNIGHTS FIGHT WITH THE TIGERS

The Knights 7th grade team lost a tough battle to the Loveland Tigers 48 to 47 on Wednesday 12/13. The Knights led at halftime 27 to 23 and the game remained close until Loveland went on a quick scoring run in the 4th period to seal the victory. Coach Poggi will have some time to get the boys ready for their next game at KJHS as they prepare to take on Amelia 1/3/07. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

KNIGHTS OVER HARRISON 33-17

After opening the season with two tough road losses, the Kings Knights Boys A basketball team put it all together in a solid 33-17 home victory over the Harrison Wildcats. The Knights played a tough man-to-man defense, holding the Wildcats to just 2 points in the first half. They out-rebounded their opponent while contolling the tempo of the game. Offensively the boys made the extra pass leading to many easy baskets and a balanced scoring attack. Coach Poggi and the Knights look to even their record at home against Loveland on Wednesday.
