In a Thriller at the Mill, the 8th Grade "A" Lady Knights defeated Nagel-Silver 49-48 in overtime to remain unbeaten in conference play. It was a game that saw your Lady Knights jump out to an early lead, only to have the deficit erased in the 3rd quarter. The game remained close down to the wire, but the Lady Knightsfound themselves down by 4 with time quickly fading. A huge bucket by Paige Miller brought the Lady Knights to within 2 and the crowd was going wild! Finally, with 3.9 seconds left in regulation,Logan Warye in-bounded the ball to Katelyn Haralamos, who then drove the length of the floor largely uncontested and put up a runner as time expired. The shot went in and the gamewent to OT!

In overtime, the Lady Knights jumped out to a great start on a lay-up by Logan Warye. Not to be outdone, Nagel-Silver responded and the battle was on! In the end, with less than a minute to go, Courtney Miller had a huge bucket to give the Lady Knights a 1 point lead! But it was still not over.... The Lady Knights were able to protect that one point lead, untilapproximately 10 seconds left, when a Nagel player stole the ball and drove for a lay-up which wasconverted to a 3-point play on a foul. Nagel leads, 48-46, 3.9 seconds on the clock.... Logan Warye in-bounds to Katelyn Haralamos, who drives the length of the floor. Katelyn looks, but finds no one open, so she steps left and puts up a 3-point shot that banks and goes in as time expires! The Lady Knights win on a total team effort, 49-48!

Every player contributed to this win - Shannon Lance and Jenica Stoetzel did a nice job running the offense and providing consistent play on the defensive end, and Amanda Bialk did a nice job fighting for rebounds and contributing 6 points. The rest of the scoring was led byKatelyn Haralamoswith 13, Logan Warye with 10, Sammy Jones with 9, Courtney Miller with 4, Lauren Goodwin, Jenna Ludlow and Paige Miller with 2 each, and April Rumelhart with 1.
