Years at King’s: Seventh. Joined staff in 2000-2001 season after serving 3 years as Assistant Coach with the Lakota West Firebirds. Coach of the Year honors in 2001 and 2004 when the Lady Knights won league titles.Previous Coaching Experience: Head JV coach at McAuley High School (94-95); 8th grade coach at Kings Junior High (95-96); 8th grade coach at Ridge Junior School (96-97); JV coach at Lakota West (97-98); Varsity Assistant at Lakota West (98-00)
Most Exciting thing about coaching: The thrill of competition and seeing each girl progress through the season and through the years. In addition, being a part of a close knit group and maintaining relationships once the girls leave for college.
Playing Experience: College - played her freshman season at the University of Cincinnati winning the Bearcat Award and her final three at Ohio Dominican College where she was captain, Athlete of the Year, and Academic All-American her senior year. Treherne also earned Outstanding Business Administration major her senior year. High School – she played three years at Copley High School in Akron and one year at Lakota High School.
Education: B.A. degree in Business Administration from the Ohio Dominican College in 1994; Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Xavier University in 1997.
Current Occupation: 8th Grade Teacher at Hopewell Junior School
Personal Data: Born March 16, 1972, in Columbus, OH.; Married Brett Treherne on July, 12, 2003. One child: Paige (born October 8, 2006). Currently lives in Liberty Township, OH.
